Summary at very bottom of page.
It would be really nice if WilderCraft considered being a crossplay server. Using GeyserMC (its not a server hosting site, its just where you download the code) (I don't really know how it works, all I know is that it works) it is possible for the server to handle both Bedrock and Java players at the same time.
Cons:
Bedrock players may have the potential to cause more lag, though speaking from experience, they don't usually, though client side they may be laggy.
I think GeyserMC works with most plugins (like shop and claim, and that whole group of plugins), but not all.
You would have to do a different voting system for BE players
Pros:
More players in general. (more potential $ for the server)
Players no longer have to feel guilty when their BE friends if they can play with them.
Your server would go up on cross play server lists.
Turning just a couple servers to CP (cross play) would allow Bedrock Edition players to join the WilderCraft community, and play alongside Java Edition players too. The BE players may be a little laggy, but the fact that they would be on WilderCraft at all far outweighs that (imo). The vast majority of your plugins should be fine. I think it is at least worth it to open a beta server to test out what this might look like.

Sounds like this is something that the players themselves could install and use without needing Wildercraft to have to worry about maintaining it.

Hey Marshmallow,
We discussed this in our Community Team Meeting and this is a lovely idea and it would be great to allow more people to join. But currently at this point we don't believe it is in wilders best interest to focus or invest time into this. We may re-evaluate this idea in the future when the use of this program becomes easier/smoother and or we have the reasources and time do look into how this would effect current plugins, rules and code inplace.
Would love to hear more from you,
Thanks For The Feedback - GoldenFlame
