There are issues with allowing sellers to manually list their shop contents, to include, but not limited to:

1) Shop is out of a listed item.

2) Shop is completely out of items / all slots contain diamonds.

3) Seller has more items to sell than the list allows them to notate.

4) No way to tell when seller last updated their item list.

I propose the seller have the option (to opt out of) their shop list being automatically generated each evening during maintenance.

I assume this would require much coding and testing, but I believe the final outcome would be a better experience for both the seller and buyer.

I don't understand this suggestion.  Might want to take another stab at the description.

Problem:

Go to spawn.

Search for item (say Mending)

Get 15 shops that say they sell Mending.

Go to 3 of them, and find they don't have mending.

Solution:

Nightly, the server takes the inventory of each shop and updates the shop description with what they actual have.
