During Season 8, I used to be able to type "/search$ iron" and I would get a list of shops selling iron, and I could click on one and I would teleport to that shop. Today is the first day with shops in Season 9, and when I attempted to search shop descriptions, I received the following error message: Unknown sub-command. Type "WilderShop help" for a list of commands.

Is this a bug?

Yes, this has changed actually. The new shop system has split up the command into 3 different functions. 

/search$ item (all caps item name) will search for shop with the item in their shop chests

/search$ description (description) will search words in descriptions

/search$ player (player name) will search shops who are owned by the specified player.
