Wilderspade should work on sand.

The wilderspade should also give drops for sand, as for making concrete people still mine tons of gravel and can get rewards. I have heard that sand was not enabled for drops because people mine too much sand, but that can go for gravel also or dirt. Sand might be the most mined but is still something used by a shovel and should get the special drops also.
